Who is the ideal candidate for participation in Human Performance Basic Training™?
Any (and every) team member.
Human Performance BASIC Training™ expands context and awareness. It promotes engagement on the job and alignment with organizational principles. Included group exercises afford participants “a-ha” awareness of the benefits of approaching work as one team, with one goal, having one conversation.
Every team member benefits through participation in Human Performance BASIC Training™- personally as well as professionally.
When all team members have completed Human Performance BASIC Training™, you will have common language, common dialogue, and common perspective on Performance Improvement- throughout the organization.
How long does the training take?
Depending upon your Implementation Plan, Human Performance BASIC Training™ lasts from 6 to 7 hours to 1-1/2 days in the classroom. Extended versions often include development of work team Codes of Honor on the second day (highly recommended).
What can I expect workers to do differently following the training?
You can expect expansion of context- about self and role within the organization- leading to a much higher level of positive ‘possibility thinking’. Because of this, you will see higher levels of engagement, amplified intent to make things better, and greater alignment of worker attitudes and behaviors with organizational principles.
Proper use of the Error Elimination Tools™, which are ‘rolled out’ during the Course, greatly reduce the incidence of (and potential for) human error, thereby increasing Reliability, Efficiency, Productivity, and Safety.
When Code of Honor development is included (which again, is highly recommended), you will see rapid transformation of work team culture. This will be evidenced by greatly increased levels of peer accountability among team members, with a heightened sense of one team, one goal…one conversation.
Are Continuing Education Credits (CECs) or Professional Development Hours (PDHs) available for completion of the Training?
For those who so desire, (6) Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are awarded by the Human Performance Association for successful completion of the classroom training and successful passing (score of 80% or greater) of the associated online examination.
How can I attend Human Performance BASIC Training™?
Currently, the classroom version of Human Performance BASIC Training™ is only offered as part of a PPI Client Implementation Plan.
If your organization is not yet implementing Practicing Perfection® as a Client of PPI, you can participate in the ONLINE version of the Course- Human Performance BASIC Training™ iLearning.
