Dr. Overstreet holds:

  • BS (Nuclear Science) University of Maryland -University College
  • MBA University of Houston – Victoria
  • Doctorate – Organizational Management – University of Phoenix

Dr. Overstreet is seven-year veteran of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine program and was awarded a Squadron accommodation for technical competence and leadership.  Harry has worked with Practicing Perfection for over since 2010 while simultaneously teaching at Lubbock Christian University as an adjunct professor.  He retired as a 33 year employee of the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company (STP).

At the time of his retirement from STP he was responsible for the station’s Business Continuation disaster recovery plan (BCP) and the Pandemic Influenza Continuation Plan, and was a contributing factor in turning around the culture in the Nuclear Security Department.

Dr. Overstreet’s primary area of interest over the last two years has been organizational effectiveness with a concentrated effort focused on the behaviors associated with human performance.

Dr. Overstreet has held leadership positions in the Quality Assurance, Nuclear Training, Human Resources (SPHR), and Information Systems departments.  With his varied background he has a unique ability to speak the language of his audience from coaching CEO executives down to the worker on the shop floor.

In addition to extensive work in the nuclear industry, Dr. Overstreet has worked with teams which have included fossil-fuel electric power generation, NASA Engineering, hospital CEOs, off-shore oil, and sales & marketing executives.

Dr. Overstreet published the following work:

He has been recognized locally, nationally, and internationally for his volunteer work with Special Olympics and community involvement.
